Luck star Imran Khan wows Team HT City with his charm In town to promote his upcoming film Luck, HT City columnist Imran Khan took time out to visit the HT City office and chill out with the team. The first thing with the team. The first thing Imran mentioned were the letters from his readers. He reads each and every one of them and remembers most, he assured us.
We ask the actor about his upcoming film, Luck, in which he plays an out-and-out action hero. He has even performed several dangerous stunts for the role. Did it take a lot of work to get the `look' of an action star? "My body has the tendency to lose weight really quickly, so I can never do cardio, and I have to eat at constant intervals and do really intense workouts," he explains.
Though every Bollywood buff is familiar with Imran's chocolate boy good looks today, it wasn't always the case, the actor recalls. "When we were shooting the airport scene for Jaane Tu..., a guy came up to me and asked for an autograph. I was thrilled," he recalled. "But then he said, you're Muzamil Ibrahim, aren't you?" Even today, Imran added, a lot of people calls him Irfan, so much so that he's stopped correcting them! But post-Jaane Tu..., surely he gets a lot of marriage proposals from starry-eyed girls? "No, never. I always make it clear that I'm in a relationship," he says. As far as rumours about an affair with Luck costar Shruti Haasan are concerned, he says, "Shruti's a great friend. She's not a heroine... nah... she's a rocker. She's got more tattoos than me." He also reveals that she's a trained singer with an amazing voice.
As the topic of singing comes up, we remind Imran that he sang a few lines of the title track of Jaane Tu in the film... an encore for the HT City team and his readers, perhaps? A sweetheart as always, Imran obliges.
