Actor Imran Khan and girlfriend Avantika Malik’s engagement took place at mom Vandana Malik’s farmhouse a short distance from Mumbai.
The evening affair was preceded by a brunch party by the lake in the morning which saw friends and close relatives of Imran and Avantika attend. The night ceremony involved an exchange of rings which was attended by Imran’s uncle Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Aamir’s dad Tahir Hussain and step brother Faisal Khan.
Bollywood was represented by Karan Johar , Kunal Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Kunal and Raveena Kohli, Sarika, Ritu Shivpuri and Imran’s debut director Abbas Tyrewala. Television honcho Raghav Bahl put in an appearance since Avantika is his niece. The farmhouse was like a fairyland at night with beautiful lights in black and white and there were white tents all over. At the precise moment of the exchange of engagement rings, hundreds of lanterns went up into the sky.
