What do you talk about with your parents? Do you chat easily with them, or do you sit formally across the room, minding your posture and trying to think of ways to fill the silence? I'm a lucky guy. (I've said that before, and I'll probably keep saying it.) I can talk to my parents about anything, we have that kind of a relationship. I'm in a minority though. Most of my friends don't have quite as easy a relationship, and some have extremely strained ones. The age gap we all have between ourselves and our parents ensures many differ- ences; values, beliefs, interests... I could fill this column with the ways we differ, but there would- n't be much of a point to that.Read more...

Actor Imran Khan is shooting in Delhi for Kunal Kohli's Break Ke Baad with co-actor Deepika Padukone. Sporting a short-cropped look for the film, he spoke to HT City about his chemistry with his co-actor and what he loves most about Delhi.
“Till now, Deepika is being very sweet and nice to me, but who knows whether she'll become scary later on!“ Imran jokes about his co-star.Ironically for Deepika, who's recently gone through a heartbreak, the film, directed by Danish Khan, is about a couple that breaks up and wants to reunite!
Imran Khan’s trendy new hairstyle for Break ke Baad delays the completion of his other film, I Hate Luv Storys
Imran Khan’s hair growth now decides his shooting schedule. The actor has acquired a new haircut for Danish Aslam’s Break Ke Baad which has resulted in the delay of one song that remains to be shot for Punit Malhotra’s I Hate Luv Storys (IHLS).
Imran Khan is currently in Delhi shooting for Break Ke Baad. He has cut his hair short and got a completely new look for the film.
This week has been pretty ction-packed. I've wrapped up shooting for I Hate Luv Storys (there's still one song left to shoot, but we're doing that later), and started rehearsals for my next film, Break Ke Baad. We've got a couple of days to rehearse before we start shooting for it in Delhi from March 18. I'm not happy about starting a new film so soon after finishing one, because that gives me very little time to work out my character. Ideally, I would have liked to have a month or so beforehand to do rehearsals with the director and my co-actors, but I guess I'll have to make do.Read more...

I don't know how closely you follow film industry news, so I'll give you a quick recap. A few weeks ago, a tabloid wrote a story about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The story was false, and it really angered the entire family. Amitji demanded a public apology (which they have not yet received), and things have generally gotten pretty ugly. I have my own running war with another tabloid (I haven't spoken to them in about a year, and they make sure to write nasty stuff about me every so often), and if you look around, you'll realise that pretty much everyone in the biz has had a fallout with a certain section of the media at some point or another.Read more...

First off, congratulations to my sometimes friend, ometimes enemy PC, who is celebrating her golden jubilee as a columnist. It seems like just a couple of weeks ago that I was the new kid on the block, attacking PC in my second column, and sparking off an epic battle between men and women. Predictably, I lost. (After enduring the pain of waxing, manicures and facial exfoliations, it seems women are invulnerable.) But it's been great fun matching wits with you. Here's to another 50 columns, and many more alter- cations. Seriously, don't leave me alone with the new kids!Read more...
"As actors, we all want our audience to like our work; so even if you ask me this question after five years I will say yes I want to work harder and harder to be loved by my audience."
~ Imran Khan
