Buzz is that Aamir Khan & UTV have mutually decided to shelve their much delayed Imran starrer.
The strong buzz doing the rounds in Bollywood is that Aamir Khan Production's much delayed film 'Delhi Belly' has finally been shelved. According to industry insiders, after much discussion about the film, the actor turned producer Aamir and UTV are planning to shelve the film.
It is believed that Aamir was not so happy with the final outcome and hence took upon himself to reedit the sex comedy starring Imran Khan. However, we hear that the perfectionist Khan couldn't impress co-producers UTV with his edit. The production house wasn't very happy with the product that cost them approximately 20 crores.
Therefore, it was decided to either shelve 'Delhi Belly' completely or push the release ahead by 8-10 months. A source informs that Aamir too has no time to immediately give to the film as he will be starting Reema Kagti's film soon.
We contacted UTV's Siddharth Roy Kapoor to get a better picture and he said, "The news about the film being shelved is completely false. The film is in post production and is being released mid 2011."
If all works fine, 'Delhi Belly' will be one of Bollywood's very few sex comedies to hit theatres.
"As actors, we all want our audience to like our work; so even if you ask me this question after five years I will say yes I want to work harder and harder to be loved by my audience."
