Aamir Khan still hasn't set a date for Imran and Avantika's reception

Aamir Khan is still undecided about when he will host the wedding reception for nephew Imran Khan and his bride Avantika Malik. And there are no plans of having it before the release of Dhobi Ghat.

B-Town speculation was that the actor-producer would throw a bash where he would invite the who's who of Bollywood as well as other high-profiled folk just before his wife Kiran Rao's movie hits the marquee.

This would be Mr Perfectionist's way of announcing the film's theatrical release as well as celebrating his nephew's big day.

But Aamir maintains, "Yes, I do want to host a big reception but I have not thought of any date yet. There is no time to have any such event now. It is too close to the release of Dhobi Ghat on January 21."

He adds, "The countdown has begun for us. Both Kiran and I will be travelling for the film's promotions. She will also be touring with the cast. So any such plans are on hold for now."

The mamujaan is, however, hopeful of having the reception at a later date - but much after Dhobi Ghat's release.

"We are the only two members of the family who are not with the newly-weds for their marriage celebrations in Thailand.

Even going for a day was not proving to be feasible as we have our outstation commitments for Dhobi Ghat promotions," says Aamir.

Birthday time
Imran Khan turns 28 today (January 13). He will be celebrating with wife Avantika Malik and the rest of his family who are in Thailand. Several of his friends are also accompanying him. The last three years, as he was busy shooting on his big day, he did not have any big celebration.
On January 14, the newly-weds will exchange wedding vows (personally written by them) on a beachfront on an island off the Thai coast. An entire resort has been booked for the guests accompanying the couple.
