This is not a mock tale. While vacationing in Goa with his wife Avantika, Imran Khan is actually learning how to be a bartender.
No, he is not planning to give up his acting career. Imran is taking a break from work and this is how he likes to unwind.
The actor had been working incessantly since November last year. In fact, he barely managed to squeeze in his wedding and the party in the midst of his shooting schedules. Naturally, Imran was craving a vacation with Avantika.
Today, you would spot them soaking up the sun in Goa but at other times you would catch Imran at the bar, tossing and mixing different coloured juices.
Playing bartender at a restaurant in North Goa has become his latest passion. Think Tom Cruise in Cocktail and the picture is complete.
Our source said, "Imran is at a close friend Chinu's restaurant in North Goa, a secluded area, frequented mostly by foreigners and some locals.
Imran took off with a group of friends and his wife Avantika and visited this restaurant, where he was thrilled to watch the bartenders at work.
So impressed was the actor that he expressed the desire to learn their work. His friend immediately made the arrangements."
Apparently, Imran had always wanted to learn bartending and he is lucky to have friends like Chinu who oblige.
When contacted, the actor said, "I am enjoying every moment of it. This is something that I wanted to do for some time now and when the opportunity came, I grabbed it with both my hands.
I am not someone who drinks a lot but I love getting people drunk and learning the art of making exotic drinks will go a long way." Hope the drunk friends don't have to, though... go a long way that is.
